Blockposters
This is the web site recommended by Tim Rylands during the Write-Click course.
Create wall posters from any size image completely free! Simply upload your picture and decide on how many sheets you want your picutre to be when printed. Your poster can then be downloaded in .pdf format for printing. Brilliant for Tim’s ‘blu-tac’ technology!
VLC Media Player
Many thanks to Zoe from Croft Primary for recommending VLC Media Player which is a free download. Zoe has tried it and says it is very easy to use and will allow you to take screen shots of DVDs.
Samorost
Samorost and Samarost 2 - more ’point and click’ adventure games with lovely imagery. They are both set in the same incredible world, where a little white gnome lives on a small planet in space. In the first game, he has to save his home from an incoming bird-like asteroid. The downside is that you can’t save the game and return where you left off. In Samorost 2, aliens land on the planet and kidnap his dog. This sequel does provide level codes which enables you to continue from where you left off. However, you can only play the first chapter for free.
